Pamela Claflin
Northwest Painter
Realist Impressionist
Pamela Claflin’s deep love of the natural landscapes of her beautiful state of Oregon and the Northwest is what makes her paint. Using brush and palette knife, she has participated in oil painting events in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Colorado, California, Utah, and Montana.
Pamela took workshops over a 30 year period of time with Delbert Gish, who was assistant to Russian master, Sergei Bongart. She also took workshops with Matt Smith, Robert Moore, Marc Hanson, Roger Dale Brown, and Howard Friedland.
Claflin also developed ‘Transitional Grey’ paintings to fit in the many black/white/grey new homes.
Pamela formed and operated two art galleries, including the Mockingbird Gallery in Bend, Oregon, for 18 years, and Rimrock Gallery in Prineville, Oregon, for over 5 years. She is now enjoying the time to paint and explore the Northwest scenes.
